November 24, 2025– Neenah, WI – Slate Hospitality Group announced the addition of a new location to their portfolio with the signing of the Cobblestone Hotel & Suites in Stratford, TX with Stratford Texas Hotel, LLC. This location marks the 6th location under Slate Hospitality Group’s management in the state.
The addition of the Cobblestone Hotel & Suites – Stratford signifies the continued partnership between Slate Hospitality Group and the Cobblestone Hotels brand. Construction at this location is expected to begin in 2026. Guests will be able to look forward to onsite amenities such as a swimming pool, onsite convenience store, complimentary breakfast, a meeting room, and a business center.
Stratford is a small city with a lot going on, especially in terms of agricultural activity in the area. Stratford is surrounded by acres of farmland, most of which are occupied by cattle farming. Other agricultural services include a grain elevator, feedyards, and auctions. Stratford sees the intersection of US-287 and US-54, two major highways that are well-travelled by truckers and other transient travelers. The Pilot Travel Center, which is conveniently located at this intersection, is a popular stop for these travelers, and the hotel is expected to support the efforts of keeping these travelers in the city for longer by providing a place to stay, whether that be for one night or for a more extended stay in the area.
